Thank you Columbus Alive for the cool interview with Mike & Sheryl!

By: Abernaty Miller (She's still plain old Abbey to us) in the December 25th Issue of The Alive:

"Bossy Grrl's Pin Up Joint has garnered a cult following by offering a weekly lineup of entertainment and a campy atmosphere rivaled only by John Waters movies. Original owners Sandy Rollins and Amber Myers have expanded to Wall Street Night Club, leaving their beloved Bossy Grrl's concept to Secret Song Records owner Mike Folker and business partner Sheryl Graham. Though Folker and Graham are keeping the kitsch, they plan on making additions to the entertainment schedule and adding to the energy of the Old North neighborhood..."

Open and booking great bands

We are getting into our third month and the wind is still at our backs. A patio complete with stage is ready to open in the next week. We are also awaiting our spiritous liquor license so we can start serving up shots, shots, shots.

We are excited about all the upcoming bands booked to play both the indoor and new outdoor stage. Check our event calendar and come bob your heads to great music.

Working to get the joint ready

We have been working to get the joint ready for opening. We are still expecting to open in February 2013. In the last few weeks our joint has gone from a shabby, dirty little hole in the wall to a polished pad ready for equipment load in day and employee training.

We have decided to carry Republic of Teas and will be serving locally roasted coffee from Cafe Apropos in Harrison West. The menu is still under construction as we do our taste trials, but we will have a series of grilled sandwiches on house made breads. Last, the certainly not least, the beer selection process has begun. We will carry several local brews as well as the best regional and national craft beers.

We can't wait to welcome you into our joint.
